SERVICES & FACILITIES

Malady Racing has operations on the Geelong racecourse

and at the state-of-the-art Hirsch Park in the Macedon Ranges

GEELONG STABLE

Geelong racecourse

Being located on the Geelong racecourse is remarkably convenient and pleasantly quiet compared to the hustle and bustle of other major training centres.

Horses are accommodated in six inside boxes and 12 outside covered yards while the nearby stripping sheds adjacent afford easy access to the grass and sand fibre training tracks.

Regular jumpouts at Geelong provide an extra level to the training process while young horses can enhance their preparation with the practice barriers.

Use of the sand rolls and wash bays  complete a morning’s work for the horses before they walked back to the stables.

You can be assured the highest standards are maintained with experienced track riders and loyal staff engaged with the horses at the Geelong stable.

BEACH TRAINING

The major asset for us is the expansive 13th Beach which allows horses to gallop over 1600 metres.

Firmer ground is offered near the waters edge while more testing work in available in the heavier and deeper sand closer to the dunes.

And the horses really enjoy their cool down in the salt water shallows of the ocean which is both invigorating and therapeutic.

HIRSCH PARK

TYLDEN RACING OPERATION

Hirsch Park is a state-of-the-art establishment on 54 hectares at Tylden, in the Macedon Ranges, 85 kilometres northwest of Melbourne.

Among its many features is an 1850-metre Pro-Ride Track as well as the architect designed stable complex for 80 horses.

Other highlights include 60 spacious paddocks, a 60 metre straight swimming pool, a six-horse aqua walker and 20-metre sand roll.

Malady Racing is proud to be associated with Hirsch Racing and its dedicated and talented team which is committed to excellence and results.
