Three-year-old Elvis confirmed his career had turned the corner with another impressive performance to score at Echuca on Saturday.
The gelding is unbeaten in two runs since visors were applied to correct his waywardness.
He came with a late burst to land his maiden over 1106m at Ararat on April 26 and finished strongly from midfield to land the Bet365 0-58 Hcp (1209m) at Echuca.
“The race panned out beautifully for him when Brechen and Vancouver Rock went hard out in front,” Vincent said.
Ridden by Will Gordon, Elvis ($7) made up three lengths in the straight to hit the front at the 200 metres and held off Danerich Dan (11) to score in a photo finish.
“He’s certainly improved with the visors and is much more tractable,” Vincent said.
“It was nice to see him win last start and to see him win again gives you extra confidence that he can progress through his grades.”
Eddie Hirsch bred and owns Elvis who is a son of Frosted from Lonhro mare Obsequious, a winner of races including the Gr2 Light Fingers Stakes and Gr3 San Domenico Stakes.
Elvis’s full brother to Ingratiating, won four stakes races including the Gr2 Vain Strakes and Gr3 Bletchingly Stakes.
